International Program
Hershey Entertainment & Resorts (HE & R) provides employment to international participants each year through the J-1 Work & Travel program.
We are committed to providing an invaluable opportunity to those
interested in experiencing the culture and hospitality of the United
States.
Our program is designed to allow J-1 Students the ability to:
- Develop and enhance English level skills
- Experience the culture, history, food, and people of the United States
- Enjoy working in either a Resort or Amusement Park environment
- Have fun while building life long friendships
- We employ students beginning mid-May through September
Our Partners:
HE & R partners with International Institute for Exchange Programs (I-2) for our international needs. Through this partnership, I-2 recruits and extends offers to students on behalf of HE &R, and coordinates housing and transportation needs for each of our students.
I-2 is part of a local company called Harristown Development Corporation. Harristown Development Corporation also owns and operates International House located in downtown Harrisburg. International House was designed to provide a warm and friendly environment where foreign and U.S. students, scholars, and interns can live and learn from one another through their everyday activities.
Through our partnership with I-2, we continue to leverage their knowledge and ability to create a program of cultural exchange at International House and apply that to our J-1 visa student program. I-2 sponsors various cultural exchange events for students throughout their time here in the United States and also offers English as a second language classes.
