in order to provide each employee with the opportunity to succeed and
carry on Milton Hershey’s dream….his legacy.
You will receive the training and development opportunities you need
beginning with your first day - to improve your skills and reach your
goals. Every New Employee will be welcomed to our company at Orientation.
Our orientation is designed to expose you to our culture, values, and
our history which continue to be the foundation of our legacy of excellence.
Center for Learning & Leadership Development : Our
in-house training and development team works to provide an
environment of continuous learning that meets the needs for
both aspiring and existing leaders and professionals by offering
a variety of onsite development opportunities that are forward
thinking, strategically aligned with our organizational mission and
values, and designed to enhance professional competence, enable
career fulfillment, and contribute to individual effectiveness.
Broad Curriculum Available: There are many
onsite professional development workshops available throughout
the year, designed to provide the support and tools to guide
our professionals toward overall effectiveness. Several foundational
programs are designed to quickly position a new employee for
success, one of those programs being, “The 7 Habits of Highly
Effective People”, based on the best-seller book by Stephen
Covey.
Performance Coaching Services: Coaching is
a partnership dedicated to supporting employees in making important
decisions and changes in their career. The coaching process
involves a series of one-on-one solution-oriented discussions
aimed at broadening perspective, discovering creative solutions
to challenges, raising awareness, and action planning. We offer two
coaching models, depending on the need.
Assessment Tools: Employees serious
about personal and professional effectiveness, have access to a variety
of tools that can help assess strengths, identify areas of
growth opportunity and raise awareness around potential blind
spots.
Women In Leadership Program: All females
who hold a Director position or higher within the organization
can take advantage of formal networking and learning opportunities
coordinated just for them. Spear-headed by our Chief Marketing
Officer, Kim Schaller, this group meets 2-3 times a year for
organized events. The group expands its network by reaching
out to serve as mentors to less experienced women in the company.
Team Effectiveness Support: Teams or
departments can experience a teambuilding process that includes: assessments,
prescriptive action planning, measurements for success, application
workshops and outdoor experiential learning.
Electronic Resource Library: A database houses
over 550 resources covering a variety of topics. With the simple
click of a button, employees can search for and request resources.
Certifications: We provide a variety of Hospitality
Skills Certification Programs sponsored by the American Hotel & Lodging Association.
OSHA, First Aid and CPR training
is available for applicable positions.
