Your Child, Our Employee
Whether we are currently your child’s employer or if your child is considering employment with our company, we know you have questions. First and foremost, we understand and appreciate your involvement. We’ve outlined a few areas of interest that we hope you’ll find helpful in the process.
Safety
Safety is the top priority at Hershey Entertainment & Resorts. This foundational promise applies as closely to our employees as it does to our guests. You can be confident that whether your child is on or off the clock at our properties that they are in a safe and secure environment.
Transportation
We understand that you are likely your child’s primary form of transportation. To simplify pick-up and drop-off times and carpooling efforts we do our best to accommodate sibling and/or friend scheduling.
Public transportation is available through Capital Area Transit (CAT) Lebanon Transit, and Commuter Services. Each employee that has an interest in utilizing the public transportation system will need to ensure bus runs are available at the times needed to accommodate assigned shifts. For more information on CAT’s bus routes, visit www.cattransit.com.
Child Labor Laws
We take child labor laws very seriously. Employees across the organization are educated on the governing rules around employing minors. Child labor laws in the United States include numerous statutes and rules regulating the employment of minors. According to the United States Department of Labor, child labor laws affect those under the age of 21 in a variety of occupations. Minors are also required to have a valid work permit before starting work.
